Event Details Build a Photography Portfolio Date: 12/4/2008 Time: 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm Location: Frederick Community College (View Map) Description: ACR122 Build a Photography Portfolio Learn the principles and procedures needed to create an effective and targeted photographic portfolio. Review print selection and the presentation process of building a bound portfolio. Gain knowledge of effective self-critique techniques, as well as basic marketing principles to effectively present a relevant portfolio to an audience or customer. This class will benefit photographers with an interest in presenting a body of work to publishers, potential employers, galleries, customers, or learning institutions. Students will create a 10-25 piece portfolio, in a manner best suited for the targeted audience. The instructor and student will meet individually for a constructive critique of the photos selected for portfolio presentation. Students will present at the end of class. Advanced presentations, such as web sites and published works will be discussed, but will not be the focus of the class. 10 hrs.
