Market Street Frederick MD 21701 (View Map) Description: Tuesdays at 6:30pm Keith Barney will teach a 30 minute 'basics' lesson followed by 30 minutes of 'beyond basics' class and then a DJ dance until 9. The music played will be Pop and R&B. No partner required. We will have color coded name tags for singles. Meet new friends while getting exercise and learning a new skill. Our goal is to prepare beginners with the skills to be able to dance to slow, medium, and fast music and provide more experienced dancers with a consistent venue in downtown Frederick. Smooth Swing is a modern dance that ranges from smooth and sultry to dynamic and exciting depending on the tempo of the music. The fact is, this statement is wrong. Words are powerful. In this session, we will explore the intentional and unintentional consequences of words. We'll see how words impact our lives, how great orators have used words to inspire and motivate, and how we can do the same. Facilitator Shuan Butcher is the Executive Director of the Frederick Arts Council and founder and president of Inspire to Serve, a training and consulting company. He has presented workshops across the country on such topics as leadership, diversity, teambuilding, strategic planning, and volunteerism.
