I read the other posts about what to pay someone to watch you children but I had another question. If I have someone come into my home and care for my two children while my husband is sleeping (he works nights and I will be working days) for about 5 hours. I will supply food and drinks for the person that will be watching them. What would the going rate be? Before I got this job I watched a little girl fulltime for 30.00 a day two days a week. Fulltime meaning 10 hours a days. It would only be for two days a week. I had some people respond but they wanted $40-50 a day for 5 hours. I thought that was crazy. Any information or suggestions would be helpful.
