we just moved, and in front of our house is a huge tree.  the idiots planted ivy at the bottom and now the ivy has grown all the way to the top of the tree.  eventually it's going to grow on the branches and end up killing this huge tree, which would prob fall on our house and/or be expensive to pay someone to come and cut the tree down...the ivys suctioned cupped to the tree, and there is soooooooo much at the bottom...ive tried pulling at it to pull it up, and putting weed killer on it, no success, any suggestions on how to kill this crap?

Most of the weed killer you buy has low amounts of Glyphosate. Check Home Depot, Lowes, even Wally-world for a brush killer spray.

Wait until temp. outside is at least 70 degrees. { NO WIND } spray once, then spray again next day. Be patient, you don't need to spray everything, just mostly from the ground up a couple of feet should do it.

When it has turned brown, cut ends near ground, & eventually you can pull out all vines.
