Grand Opening Celebration Thurmont Regional Library
Starring the United States Old Guard File and Drum Corps

“The Thurmont community has been looking forward to the opening of our new library with tremendous enthusiasm,” said Erin Dingle, Branch Administrator for the Thurmont Regional Library, who will manage the facility.  “We hope that the new library will become a gathering place for people of all backgrounds and interests to discover and learn in a comfortable, accommodating atmosphere.” 

The week-long Grand Opening Celebration has been underwritten by Woodsboro Bank, which also has a new bank branch opening in Thurmont on Saturday, August 2. "We have a strong, growing customer base in the Thurmont area, and partnering with the new public library there is a natural fit for us," said Rick Miller, President and CEO of Woodsboro Bank.  "Our sponsorship of the grand opening celebration gives us the opportunity to show our appreciation to the community."

The library’s address is 76 East Moser Road, Thurmont.  To drive to the library from downtown Frederick: 

• Take US-15 North approximately 13 miles
• Take the Thurmont (MD-806) exit
• At the exit ramp, turn right on Thurmont Boulevard
• Turn Left on Frederick Road (MD-806) and drive .4 mile
• Turn Right on East Moser Road and drive .4 mile
• Library is on the right at 76 East Moser Road

Once open, the library’s hours will be as follows: 

• Monday through Thursday, 10 am – 9 pm
• Friday and Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm
• Sunday, 1 pm – 5 pm
